If you wish to train on the course, we advise that you only ride the first 20 miles early on Sunday mornings as this section of the course can be busy with traffic at other times. On race day it will be very different; three sections of the course will be closed to traffic (but not the entire course). We have over 400 signs, 100 of which are designed specifically to educate drivers how to overtake bikes safely. We will also have 10 motorcycle marshals, over 30 static marshals and more volunteers on the bike course.
The run will head out and back along the gravel path before heading out and back along the lower prom, again towards Holywell. You then head out and back to the far eastern end of the prom. In total you complete the 10.55km lap four times.
